These beans are from the Boyaca region of Colombia and are grown and harvested by the Boyaca Women's Coffee Cooperative. "Coomucaboy" -- the abbreviation for Cooperativa de Mujeres cafeteras de Boyaca -- is a cooperative formed in 2015, made up of 20 women. In addition to their social involvement, the women in the coop produce high quality coffee and provide jobs for other women in precarious situations, cultivating a better future. These women are able to increase the quality of life for their families and their community as a whole, as well as grow their careers in coffee.
